Md. Khan ([email protected]) graduated with a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from University of California at Berkeley. His Ph.D. research was on developing thermal measurement techniques using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). He also did thermal modeling for transmission electron microscopy (TEM) based thermal measurement technique during his Ph.D. Working at Nano Energy Lab of UC Berkeley, he specialized at thermal engineering: modeling and design, microfabrication techniques and electron microscopy. He is currently working on energy efficient forward osmosis water desalination technology. His research interest is on water energy nexus, thermal analytics on energy storage and conversion devices, energy efficient electronics and technologies evolving from Beyond Moore’s Law.
